CM unhappy with pace of development works in Jammu | | | ET Report JAMMU, Aug 14: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has directed to administration to complete all the projects in the Jammu region in a time bound manner and at the earliest. Sources told Early Times the Chief Minister has said the priority should be given to these projects and there should be a tangible progress on them, before the Darbar move. According to the sources, the CM in a meeting convened to review the progress of the Jammu division especially the multi-tier parking at Bus Stand, and Panjtirthi and the Tawi lake project. The CM was apparently not happy with the progress on this account and has pulled up the officials for the delay. "The government won't accept the callous and 'chalta hai' attitude any more. If the funds are not the problems than why the execution is being delayed. Officials have to play an important role to ensure that vision of the government is taken seriously and if they continue to take the orders lightly then changes too can be made," sources quoted CM as having said in the meeting. The CM, sources said, is not happy with the pace of the work at which projects are being executed. "The CM is apparently not happy with the executing agencies. The CM in his earlier stint had made dramatic changes in the initial months and these went very well with the people of the Jammu. The CM is unhappy that the even after about six-month there has not been much progress and this can't be allowed to go on and some heads may have to be rolled if there is necessity for it," said a senior official. |
