Grandparents’ day observed 8/26/2015 11:44:15 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 26: Grand Parents are very special to every child and their bedtime stories are integral part of growing up. The bond between a grandparent and a grandchild is eternal. The management of Army Public School Rakhmuthi demonstrated this special bond by celebrating Grandparents' day on 26th August 2015. It was a special day for all those who attended the programme. The event was graced by the presence of our worthy guest -Chairman A.P.S Rakhmuthi and Principal A.P.S Rakhmuthi. The function was packed with songs and performances by the children. The programme commenced with the lighting of traditional lamp by our worthy guest -Chairman A.P.S Rakhmuthi. This provided an auspicious beginning to the celebration. The programme was ushered in by a 'bhajan' and the audience was enthralled by the soulful rendition of the bhajan. The sweet melody of bhajans filled everyone with ecstasy. The school choir presented a Dogri song and a Dogri skit staged by the students on the theme- 'Adult Education' which was followed by a dance performance on the song- 'moramaandar pankehlaye'. It was the most riveting performance and drew unceasing applause by all.
