| 3 shifted from Police Board ahead of fresh recruitments | | |

JAMMU, Aug 26: Police headquarters (PHQ) has ordered the transfer of three police personnel from its recruitment board ahead of fresh selections in the department.
One of them, who is of the rank of ASI, is transferred to Jammu while the other two are shifted to Kashmir. The State Home Department had asked the PHQ to make transfers from the board ahead of fresh recruitment vide its July 2015 letter No 312, according to police sources.
The three transferred employees had been in the board since long. The PHQ had ordered the board to relieve them forthwith, the sources added and informed that a Sub-Inspector was now made PA of the board chairman.
It is pertinent to mention here that the PHQ had decided to transfer those cops who had a long stay in the recruitment board to ensure fair selection of the candidates. "It is felt that these employees influence recruitment in police," sources alleged. |
