Kishtwar also fails to update official website 8/26/2015 11:59:48 PM Shiv Dev Thakur Early Times Report Kishtwar, Aug 26: Exploding the e-governance plans of the government, District Kishtwar too has failed to update its official website. It is not hidden from anyone that wades of notes are being provided to the section dealing with websites but finding no watchdog to raise objections, the section has become sedentary and has shed its responsibility of maintaining the same. According to updates available with Early Times, even the website is not providing any details of some of the officials. It also provides wrong details of some officials. The problem with the updation of the website has left several Right to Information (RTI) activists and other concerned in sticky situation about whom to contact about their grievances as there is no contact detail of any of the officials of the revenue department holding posts in the tehsils of the district. Even there is no contact detail of CAPD deptt. other than contact number of only TSO which is also wrong as the website is showing him as TSO Kishtwar, but the fact is that the same is holding office at Tehsil Thathri. District Informatics officer (NIC) Syed Sartaj Ahmed told Early Times, "we only update the details on the basis of the inputs given by the administration and the administration has not given any such input to update contacts and for this delay in updation, NIC is not at fault". He added that the contact directory is not updated owing to non availability of the details within his office. Manzoor Ahmed, an official from the administration while managing reply rather than admitting lethargy said that some of the officers were transferred to the other districts and it is not possible to update the details as soon after the two months of the transfers of the officers and to provide the contact details of the newly joined officials.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
