| New National HSS bags U-19 Hockey title | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 26: New National Higher Secondary School (HSS) Tali Morh today lifted the under-19 boys' hockey title in the inter-school district level competitions being held under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at K K Hakhu Stadium, here.
In the final, New National HSS trounced Government Higher Secondary School, Gole Gujral 5-1 to become the district champion. Samandeep sounded the board twice while Ramandeep, Ramnik and Mandeep added one goal each from the winning side.

GIRLS: Under-19: Government HSS Canal Road beat Presentation Convent 1-0. Anuradha scored the only goal. APS Miran Sahib beat HSS Gole Gujral 1-0. Kavleen was the scorer. Under-17: SOS Gole Gujral beat Presentation Convent 2-0. Menakshi and Priya Thakur were the scorers. Under-14: Government HS Simbal Camp beat SOS Gole Gujral 2-0. Rubia and Anita were the scorers. Harvinder Singh, Jagjit, Mandeep, Karanjeet and Gurmet Singh officiated the matches.
BASKETBALL: The MHAC Nagbani bagged the under-19 boys basketball title after they trounced KC Public School 43-20 in the final today at MA Stadium, here. Avikash and Sawan were main scorers from winning Nagbani School team with 20 and 12 points in their respective accounts.
Meanwhile, in girls' basketball event, preliminary round of the competition was held at MA Stadium, here. Other Results: MIER beat Government HSS Mubarak Mandi 6-2; MHAC Nagbani beat APS Kalu Chak; Jodhamal beat Banyan Internatinal 9-0. Vishal Bharti, Vaneet, Amit Kalsi, Mousmi and Rajesh Bandral officiated the matches. |
