14 defaulters booked, Rs 17500 fine realized | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 26: Under the supervision of Director CAPD Jammu, G. S. Chib a team headed by Deputy Director (Supplies) Jammu Atam Dev Singh alongwith Assistant Directors Ajay Salaan and Ramesh Chander conducted 35 inspections which include checking of Halwai Shops, tea stalls, Dhabas, Hotels and Restaurants etc, in the areas of Canal Road, Jewel Chowk, Vinayak Bazar and below Gumat. During the inspection the team booked 14 defaulters and fine amounting to Rs.17,500/- was recovered on spot for violation of various provisions of Essential Commodities Act. The team on spot warned all commercial establishments not to violate the provisions contained under Essential Commodities Act and adhere to the norms and rates notified from time to time for displaying of rate lists, not to indulge in over charging or misuse of domestic LPG cylinders for commercial purposes as same is violative and warrants strict action.
