Gift social security schemes to sisters on this Raksha Bandhan: Rekha 8/26/2015 11:51:30 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 26: BJP Mahila Morcha today organized a programme of Raksha Bandhan insurance campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote social security of women. Speaking on the ocassion, BJP Mahila Morcha District Vice President, Rekha Mahajan said that this campaign will not only ensure economic empowerment of women but also her social and wholesome empowerment thus giving her a sense of self esteem in her role in nation building. The PMSBY and PMJJBY schemes have been very well received because, apart from being financial securities for underprivileged, they also act as collateral in case the subscriber wants to take a loan from the bank. The scheme has an add-on benefit of easy recovery by the financial institutions in case of the death of the subscriber, she added.The drive also encourages people to gift social security to their near and dear ones in the form of Jeevan Suraksha gift cheques of Rs.351, paid in lieu of the one-year premium for PMJJBY and PMSBY, she maintained.
