| Labours, workers, helpers stage protest | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 26: Casual labourers of various departments, Anganwari workers and helpers held protest demonstration under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir National Trade Union Front in Jammu.
The casual labourers of various departments including Floriculture, PHE, Power Development Department, Soil Conversation, Agriculture, JDA, Irrigation Flood Control including ICD workers in large number participated the demonstration raising slogans in support of their demands urging the state Government to frame regularization policy for 62000 casual labourers of various departments of the state who are running all the essential services in the state & enhancement of honorarium in favour of ICD workers and helpers. Addressing gathering, veteran trade union leader Mohammad Gafoor Dar State president front condemned the delaying policies of the State Govt, which has miserably failed to fulfill the agreement regarding regularization policy for all casual labourers engaged after 1994. He stressed upon the Government to settle the below noted genuine demands without further delay otherwise the 62000 casual labours and near about 60000 ICD workers will be compelled rather forced to adopt the agitational path. |
