Natrang presents 'Reet -Vipreet' in Sunday Theatre | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 13 : This Sunday, Natrang presented yet another new play in Hindi 'Reet -Vipreet' at its Studio Theatre under its weekly Sunday Theatre Series. The play was written by Daya Prakash Sinha and directed by Neeraj Kant. The play carried a very common issue which was well acknowledged by the audience who was emotionally touched by the plot of the play. The play opens at a home of one middle class family who is encountering its own problem which are not new to any common household of India, one is the marriage of daughter and the other is the job of the son. The daughter is educated and yet not much aged, but still is the main cause of worry for her parents who want her to get married as early as possible so that they are relieved of their responsibility. On the other hand the young, educated and jobless son adds to their dismay. One fine day the son leaves home on the pretext that he is appearing for a job interview and seeks blessings of his parents, but in reality he had left to marry a girl of his choice without telling anyone. Unaware of this happening, the parents are discussing their problems with themselves and with the visitors also. It is very unfortunate that even after providing the proper upbringing and good education, parents have to do lot of efforts to get them married that too after offering dowry worth lakhs. Their problem was multiplied when they received a letter that the family where they were expecting their daughter to get married has refused to the marriage. They get shattered on knowing that despite getting his sister married, their only son got himself married without their permission. But at the same time, good news also arrives. Their daughter got selected for a very prestigious job which could make her settled on her feet with dignity and could also support her family. This gives a very positive lesson that daughters are not cause of worry, indeed they bring peace and prosperity to the home. Prominent among those who witnessed the show included R.C. Puri Secretary Regional Red Cross Society and Rajeev Luthra, Chairman Luthra College of Education. Natrang actors who performed in the play included Mahikshit Singh, Aishwarya Sathe, Shivam Singh, Sudesh Parihar, Juhi Singh, Pallavi Mathur, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Sharma and Rajan Thakyal. The lights were designed and operated by Rahul Singh. Abhee Bargotra did the presentations and the show was coordinated by Mohd. Yaseen. |
