JAMMU, Sept 13: Abusing his mandate, yet another black-sheep in Khaki has earned bad name for entire department, as instead of providing justice to victim, SHO Kanachack has been allegedly favouring the accused persons for his vested interests.
Moreover, the cop has threatened the victim to implicate him in false case or kill him while refusing to comply with courts order.
According to sources, Ashwani Kumar filed a plea before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Jammu alleging that his service centre located at Purkhoo area on rented land has been captured by Balwan Singh forcefully. "I got a piece of land from Balwan Singh on lease, I have also got the rent-deed for five years and started a service-centre after spending around Rs 15 lakh, but the land owner violating rent-deed and force fully captured my source of earning", the applicant informed CJM through written complaint.
He further informed the court that he established his business after getting loan Rs 10 lakh from J&K Bank and also borrowed Rs 5 lakh from friends and relatives.
"Going through documents produced by the applicant, the Sub Registrar Munsiff Jammu directed SHO Kanachack, to seize the service station, but the SHO started threatening me instead of complying with court's order", claimed the victim Ashwini Kumar, adding that the SHO demanded bribe for handing over the possession of the service centre.
"He (SHO) took Rs 30,000 from the applicant who is on verge of starvation, as his sources of income been illegally possessed by the land owner, did nothing for the victim", sources said, adding that authorities are also shielding the extortionist SHO.
"Balwan Singh and his sons are running the service-centre since February 2015, and SHO is pressuring the victim to leave the place ," sources said. |
