JAMMU, Sept 13 : Rural sports competitions of Block Arnas, under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan, concluded at Chinkah under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS). Block Development Officer Arnas, Rajesh Padha was the chief guest in the inaugural function.
Also present were Headmaster of HSS Chinkah, Krishan Singh, Nanaji Tikko (ZEPO Chinkah), OP Sharma, Manohar Lal and Govind Singh (all ZPEOs) as also Rajinder Singh (Sarpanch Chinkah), Girdhari Lal, Behari Lal, Anchal Singh and Daleep Kumar.
The competition held in Athletics, Judo, Wrestling, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volleyball involving those under 16 students and non-students. Now, the winners of these competitions shall participate at the district level scheduled to be held at Zorawar Sports Stadium Reasi on September 21 and September 22.
The technical penal, who conducted the events included Pardeep Nag, Ashok Kumar, Kuldeep Raj, Tour kumar, Romesh Chander, Pushkar Raj, Ajay Kumar Billa, Manzoor Hussain and Sukhwinder Singh.
The Results: Kabaddi: Panchayat Chinkah, Ist; Salalkot, 2nd and Salal Kotli, 3rd. Kho-Kho: Chinkah Panchayat, Ist; Arnas A, 2nd and Arnas B, 3rd. Volleyball: Salal Kote Panchayat, Ist; Arnas A Stans, 2nd and Arnas B, 3rd.
Athletics: 100 mts: Pankaj Singh, Panchayat Salalkote, Ist; Surjeet Singh, 2nd and Manik of Bagli, 3rd. 400 mts: Ankush Kumar Chinkah, Ist; Pankaj Singh of Arnas A, 2nd and Angrez Singh of Bagli, 3rd. 1500: Sanjay Kumar of Salalkote, Ist; Amit Bali of Chinkah Panchayat, 2nd and Paramjeet Singh of Arnas B, 3rd. Long Jump: Ankush Kumar, Ist; Arjun Singh 2nd and Sanjay Kumar, 3rd. Shot Put: Ankush Sharma of Chinkah, Ist, Arjun Singh of Salal Kotli, 2nd and Paramjeet of Arnas B, 3rd.
Wrestling: 46 kg: Surjeet Singh of Bagli Panchayat, Ist and Paramjeet Singh of Arnas B, 2nd. |
