ICC delegation calls on Dr. Jitendra | | | Agencies
New Delhi, Sep 13 : A delegation of Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) led by its President, Shiv Siddhant Kaul called on Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh and proposed several initiatives and plans of investment that the Chamber envisages for the current year across the country including in Jammu and Kashmir and North Eastern Region. Dr Jitendra Singh congratulated Kaul, who is of Kashmir origin, for having taken over as President of the prestigious organization of ICC for the year 2015-16 and hoped that during his tenure, the ICC would be able to finalize futuristic initiatives in addition to carrying forward some of the earlier initiatives started during the tenure of immediate past President, Roopen Roy. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dr Jitendra Singh said, last 15 months have been a period of visionary reforms aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship, particularly in those parts of the country where it has relatively lagged behind. Kaul urged Dr Jitendra Singh to chair the 9th Northeast Business Summit scheduled to be held at Guwahati early February next year. He also sought the Minister's support in organizing a car rally from Manipur to Thailand via Lao Pedia and Myanmar. |
