SRINAGAR, Sept 13 : Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has expressed grief over the sad demise of veteran Congress leader and two-time Parliamentarian from Jammu-Poonch constituency, Janak Raj Gupta, who passed away today morning. In his condolence message, Mufti Sayeed paid rich tributes to the deceased leader and described him as a man with great vision, who devoted his entire life in the service of poor and downtrodden people. "Janak Raj ji was a close friend.
We had a long association in our political journey and in his death, the state has suffered an irreparable loss," he said while recalling his immense contribution in the development of the state.
The Chief Minister expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty for giving them courage to bear this huge loss. He also prayed for peace to the departed soul. |
