PHE daily wagers' strike enters day 6

Sunderbani, Sept 13: Demanding for their permanent settlement with pending salary of last 24 months, strike of PHE Daily wagers entered 6th day and raised slogans against the state government. Workers including Yogesh Kumar, Chaman Lal, Lekh Raj, Prem Lal, Ashok Kumar, Surjit Kumar and other alleged that they didn't get their salary for the last 24 months despite the assurances of the concerned department. Condemning the attitude of the previous government, they said NC-Cong government had promised for the permanent settlement of these workers but the promise was not implemented till date. They added that as per rule every worker get minimum Rs 150/- per day, but there is totally different case as the workers get only Rs 500/- per month which was also remained pending for last 24 months. They warned the state government to solve their issue within days otherwise this strike will changed into agitation.
