The tests were conducted online in 14 sessions that spread over four days i.e. 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th of September, at 163 centers set up across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions. The centers included numerous educational institutions across the state.
The online examinations were held directly by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), Mumbai with technical expertise being facilitated by the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
Satisfied with the successful completion of online exams Chairman and CEO Mushtaq Ahmad congratulated the entire team headed by Senior President Abdul Rauf Bhat for putting in best of their efforts and getting the best outcome in the form of smooth and transparently conducted exam.
The chairman said, "Let me say that within the purview of our strategic HR requirements, we shall continue to provide direct employment to the best and brilliant among youth of J&K. Simultaneously, we remain committed to creating a business environment in the state that provides dignified employment opportunities to all the youth having the skill-sets coupled with spirit of entrepreneurship."
The bank's Senior President HRD Abdul Rauf Bhat expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards all the institutions, state agencies especially police and other individuals for their support in conducting this huge and important exercise smoothly and successfully. He said, "I specially thank IBPS and TCS for their complete support and cooperation throughout the examination and hope the same for the future as well.
"Conducting the online tests within the available infra-structure on such bigger scale across the state for four days was a challenge, but we succeeded because of the deeply ingrained work culture and dedication of our staff. So I sincerely appreciate all my colleagues for discharging their duties with professionalism and total commitment," he said.
"However, the expectation-bar shall keep rising and we too have to keep pace with times to accomplish more of such tasks in future. Thank you all !", he added.
Meanwhile, the candidates felt satisfied with the kind of arrangements at the exam venues.
"Having appeared in many competitive exams before, I feel completely satisfied with the arrangements at the venue. Now I hope to be part of this great institution of J&K", said a candidate after appearing for the exams at NIT, Srinagar.
Notably, while conducting this online exam on such a scale, J&K Bank has mapped the available infra-structure within the state, even upto a centre like Leh in Ladakh, which can further be organised, upgraded and leveraged for much larger exercises of such kind in future. It can be of huge benefit for the young aspirants of the state in future, who otherwise have to move to places like Chandigarh for appearing in such exams.
Meanwhile, for smooth and efficient conduct of these tests, the bank had established Command Centre at its Corporate Headquarters besides constituting special supervisory teams to monitor the arrangements at examination venues.
Senior officers of bank's Human Resources Division (HRD), Technology and Information Systems Division (T&ISD) besides personnel from IBPS and TCS were monitoring the process and progress of the examination online from the Command Centre.
