Govt MAM College organizes poster making competition | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 30: The Red Ribbon Club of Government MAM College organized a poster making competition on HIV/AIDS awareness in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir AIDS Control and Prevention Society. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club of Government MAM College, Jammu who also gave statistical data about HIV and shared important facts about AIDS stressing that the solution to prevent spreading of the virus lies in the hands of the educationists who need to create a social vaccine i.e spreading awareness effective enough to protect the masses from HIV/AIDS. More than 50 students participated in the competition with great zeal, fervor and enthusiasm expressing their creativity and thoughts on different aspects of HIV/AIDS through their posters. The Principal of the college, Dr. Anita Sudan graced the occasion as Chief Guest and appreciated the participants as well as the Red Ribbon Club and J&K AIDS Control and Prevention Socirty for organizing such programmes for sensitization of adolescent minds. Prof. Kiran Raina, Dr. S. C Sharma and Prof. Jozafeen Afzal were the jury members. Lobzang Norboo B.A Semester 3rd bagged 1st prize, Madhav Sharma BA Part 3rd got 2nd prize whereas Mussa Khan B.Sc Semester 3rd got 3rd prize. |
