| Frequents traffic snarls and congestions leave Mendher residents fuming | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Nov 30: Common people and business community here are aghast over mismanagement of traffic in the Mendhar town resulting in frequent traffic jams which in turn has become menace and sources of nuisance for the locals.
Irked over the traffic congestions, a group of businessmen lamented people are facing lot of inconvenience due to traffic congestion in and around bus stand.
"Flow of traffic at Mendhar Bus Stand and main bazaar is increasing day but the concerned administration has so far failed in providing relief to the people from this menace", they said and added that due to non-availability of an alternative route, ever increasing traffic is adding to the miseries of the masses especially the traders in the market who are losing their regular clientele.
"Even police have failed in properly managing the traffic which results in long irritating jams on day to day basis" locals said, adding, "the huge inflow of mini buses, Tata Sumos and Tempo Travellers virtually is adding to the chaos and this things get uglier as the area lack proper parking lot and the haphazard parking of idle vehicles further exaggerates problem. |
