Udhampur police solves 'bogus kidnapping case' within 3 hours

Jammu, Nov 30: Police today claimed to have solved the mysterious kidnapping case within three hours of the registration of the 'abduction case' with the cracking of concocted story of kidnapping by the students after he failed to get 'fair marks' in his examinations. According to police, one Romesh Singh of Mand presently at Jail Road Udhampur lodged compliant with Police Station Udhampur stating therein that his son namely Ruderaksh alias Anshu, class 10th student has been kidnapped by some unknown from his tuitions in the morning near Capri, Shiv Nagar Udhampur,.
Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP), Udhampur Mohd Suleman Choudhary told media persons in Udhamur that according police registered a case under FIR No. 442/2015 u/s 363 RPC and constituted a team led by Mohan Lal Kaith, Addl. SP Udhampur, Gourav Mahajan, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur and Inspr Arjun Singh Chib, SHO Udhampur to recover the allegedly kidnapped boy.
Meanwhile all the police nakas on all the routes including highway were beefed and information regarding kidnapped student too was flashed to various police stations and to others adjoining districts. SSP Udhampur said, "During the investigation one of class mate who happened to be his cousin, was also questioned thoroughly who broke down and spilled the beans.
"Acting swiftly on his disclosures, the police alerted the Doda police," Police officer said, adding, "District Police Doda ultimately recovered the boy from Bhaderwah."
During preliminary questioning the boy disclosed that he his poor performance in recently concluded examinations has upset him and he was also disturbed over the scheduled 'parent-teacher meet' organised by school authorities. "And in a bid to sidetrack the attention of the parents from his performance, he concocted this whole drama of kidnapping, police said while quoting the teen boy recovered from Bhaderwah.
