Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 30: In an embarrassment for the Jammu and Kashmir government, a question in an examination paper of class 10 asked students to name the alliance partner that formed the coalition along with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state but did not mention BJP as one of the four options. The multiple choice question of social studies subject for the tenth standard board examination read "In March 2015, PDP formed a coalition government in J&K with?", giving four options to choose from. However, the BJP, which is PDP alliance partner in the Jammu and Kashmir, did not figure in the list of options given to the students. The options given were Indian National Congress, National Conference, CPI(M) and People's Democratic Front (PDF). The latter two parties have one member each in the state assembly. Following the incident, state Education Department officials said an inquiry will be conducted into the matter and "responsibility fixed". The students, who were stumped not to find BJP among the options, have demanded that all answers should be treated as correct. |
