Shaheen seeks job for local in NHW, Railway projects | | | Early Times Report Banihal, Dec 27: District National Conference President Sajjad Shaheen on Sunday sought maximum absorption of local educated, skilled and unskilled youth in the mega road and railway projects being carried out in the district. "There is immense need to create stakes for the locals in these projects as development is essentially to enhance the quality of life of the people, Shaheen said while addressing Block Presidents, Delegates and Sarpanches of the Banihal Assembly Constituency here this afternoon. He said youth deserve maximum openings in the road widening of National Highway and the Railway Project. "This will help in satiating the urges and aspirations of the youth besides improving local economy", he maintained. Sajjad Shaheen assailed the PDP-BJP Government for ignoring the developmental needs of the remote and far flung areas, saying performance inertia has accumulated the problems of the people. He said the nightmarish past ten months have dispensed nothing but adding to the miseries of the people. He cautioned the coalition government of not testing the patience of people, saying their disenchantment has reached the peak. The District President said the sustained development ensured by the National Conference led government has been paralysed by the vision-less coalition dispensation. On the occasion representatives from Banihal, Khari, Neel, Pogal- Paristan besides other areas dwelt upon the local issues. |
