Early Times Report Udhampur, Dec 27: The Rashtriya Rifles Battalions under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Uniform Force Headquarters, Reasi conducted a series of Awami Mulaqat meets with the theme of 'Redefining Progress of the Society' in a effort to maintain peace and harmony at Kalal, Mahore, Bagga Samote and Talwara. The aim of the meets was to develop synergy, better understanding and coordination of efforts between the civil administration, Army and the local populace. The participants discussed various issues concerning economic development, enhancing education of the youth especially the girl child, women empowerment and brought to fore the important role played by the Army in marinating peace and tranquility in the area. Prominent citizens of the civil society, moulvis, educators, officials from the Army and the civil administration attended the Awami Mulaqat. Speaking on the occasion, Army officials emphasized on the role of individual who came from humble backgrounds but played a pioneering role in shaping the present day society. He further said that positive engagement of the youth will motivate them to emulate such personalities and contribute to the overall development of the region. |
