| Cop held with Heroin, intoxicant capsules; his luxurious car too seized | | |

Jammu, Dec 27: A constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police, posted with the Police Control Room (PCR), Jammu, was arrested with the narcotic substances including Heroin and intoxicant capsules here today. The accused cop identified as Arvind Kumar s/o Raj Kumar of Hari Nagar,Rehari Colony was arrested during naka checking laid by the Bakshi Nagar police. As per police sources, based on the specific information that the cop was involved in selling narcotic substances to the students of various schools, laid a naka in the area and intercepted the car bearing registration number JK02AL/5200, Honda make, and during frisking police seized narcotic substances.
Police sources further said that during preliminary questioning he told police that he had been involved in the illegal business for long time and made active after his duty hours. Meanwhile, SSP PCR Ashok Kumar when contacted said that the said cop was placed under suspension.
The catch was made by SHO Bakshi Nagar Ashwani Kumar under the supervision of SSP Jammu Uttam Chand. |
