KPC urges Center to take up issue of pilgrimage with Pak | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 27: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today, reiterated its demand for the pilgrimage to world famous Sharda Shrine situated in Muzaffrabad in POK by the Hindus of the world. KPC in a meeting at Chandigarh urged the Union Government to take up the issue forcefully with Pakistan Government in a scheduled foreign ministers meeting to be held on January 15,2016. While highlighting the demand very forcibly by well- known social activist and President KPC, Kundan Kashmiri stated that the holy Sharda Shrine which is now under the forcible occupation of Pakistan, demanded that the Shrine be opened for the Hindu pilgrims from the State, country and rest of the world as the Sharda is the presiding deity and the sentiments of the Hindus all over the globe are attached to this holy shrine which is also the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. It may be recalled that the Kashmiri Hindus for last two decades, in particular KPC, have been pressing hard to Government of India that the Hindus from the State, country and abroad be permitted to have the pilgrimage of Sharda shrine on the same pattern as is being done for Sikh pilgrims visiting Nankana Sahib the birth place of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj in Pakistan. |
