JAMMU, Dec 27 : New Challenger Club clinched the KC Sports Club Cup Cricket Tournament outplaying Simula Cricket Club by four wickets in the interesting last ball decider at KC Public School ground, here today. Earlier, Simula won the toss and decided to bat first they made 102 runs for eight wickets. Puneet and Dhruv were main scorers with 243 and 12 runs in their respective accounts. From New Challenger, Sumit took most of the three wickets, followed by Sahil and Saumay, who shared two each. In reply, New Challenger Club chased the total making 103 runs on the last delivery of their innings losing wickets. Ashu and Vimarsh were main contributors to the total making 32 and 21 runs in their respective accounts. Gulzar was most successful bowler from Simula with three wickets while Sameer Khajuria bagged two and Mohit took one. Managing Director of Simula Group, Hilal Rather was chief guest, who gave away winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes. |
