| Chaos, confusion mark musical show Mismanagement disappoints audience | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 27: Chaos and confusion marked the live musical show held at M A Stadium here on Sunday night.
Witnesses said the audience resorted to stone pelting at the entry gate of the MA Stadium when police did not allow the pass holders to go inside due to the paucity of the chairs inside the venue. Police retaliated with baton charge and chased the people who had arrived there to watch the show.
On the other hand scuffle broke out between the police and media persons as the media men were not allowed to sit on the chairs despite the fact that they were having valid passes. The ice was broken after the intervention of the senior police officers led by SSP Jammu Uttam Chand and media persons who were invited to cover the event were finally forced to sit on the ground.
"Around ninety nine percent audience were drunk which gave tough time to the police to handle the situation as passes issued by the organizers exceeded the sitting capacity," said a police officer wishing not to be named.
"The musical show which started at 6:30 pm and culminated at 9 pm mesmerized the audience present in the stadium as singers like Gurdasman left the audience spell bound".
Pertinently, a renowned group which has the Punjabi rapper and other Bollywood Star's had organized show on big digital stage with light and fire show on the opening ceremony of 11th National Matsogi-do Championship. |
