Jan alleges PDP-BJP of dividing state on religious, regional lines | | | Early Times Report POONCH, Jan 4: Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan on Monday assailed Peoples' Democratic Party for assisting BJP in implementing RSS agenda in Jammu and Kashmir, saying the duo are dividing the state on religious and regional lines. Jan was speaking at a function held in open the party office and media centre at Mandi in Poonch District this afternoon. He said the people will not allow the divisive agenda to succeed, being the inheritors of glorious pluralistic ethos and foil all attempts of creating wedge between different segments of society. He reiterated the commitment of National Conference to the vision of a vibrant, progressive and united Jammu and Kashmir, saying these distinct characteristics have to be guarded at all costs. He pledged that his party will stand like a rock to safeguard the interests of all the segments of society. He also referred to the local issues and said the power supply has been quite erratic while the road sector has been neglected due to which commuters were suffering immensely. He said developmental inertia and neglect of utility services has been hallmark of the present coalition government during the past over ten months, which has put the people to numerous miseries. He complimented the party workers for enhancing mass contact programme and urged them to highlight the problems of people for seeking their redressal. During the opening of the office and media centre, several prominent party functionaries were present. |
