Suspension of AVBP students at JU | Children of BJP leaders get reinstated, others ignored | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 4: Obliging senior BJP leader the University of Jammu has reinstated two out of three suspended, while other one has knocked door of court. Sources' told Early Times state BJP's vice president and defeated Rajya Sabha MP, Chander Prakash Sharma had recently met vice chancellor seeking reinstatement of suspended students. "Obliging, the leader, Vice Chancellor reinstated two namely Madhu Sharma and Kanav Sharma both from Law Department University of Jammu", sources said, that other student Deepak Gupta was not reinstated, due to reasons best known to administration. However, infuriated over dual yardsticks and pick and choose policy of the administration, Deepak is also from Law Department, has filled case in court of law against JU administration (OWP 2002/2015) dated 1/1/2016. Ridiculing dual yardsticks to deals with students, sources said that if the students were suspended for same reasons, why only two reinstated, why not all. "It reflects, how the administration tailored norms to oblige influential", they said. It relevant to mention here that administration of University Jammu had ordered suspension of three students, including a girl, who were allegedly leading the ABVP activists during the fierce protest and 'unlawful' assembly on the campus onOctober 13-14. |
