Apart from few violations, odd-even scheme working quite well in Delhi: Omar | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 4 : Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today said apart from few violations, the odd-even scheme for movement of traffic in Delhi seems to be working quite well. "Saw a few violators of the #OddEvenScheme this morning but they are very much the exception to what seems to be working quite well," Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference tweeted. Earlier in the day, Abdullah had tweeted that being the first working day since the odd-even scheme came into effect on January 1, it would be the real test of the plan. "Today will be the first real test of the #OddEvenPlan so good luck Delhi. Lots of interest in what you do today," Abdullah said. As part of its efforts to reduce pollution in the national capital, the Delhi government has implemented the odd-even scheme for movement of vehicles for 15 days from January 1 on trial basis. Under this scheme, vehicles with even number will be allowed to ply on even days and odd numbers on odd days respectively. |
