Martyred DSC soldier cremated with full military honours | Modi Govt compromised national security: Cong | | Early Times REport VIJAYPUR, Jan 4: A Defence Security Corps (DSC) personal who sacrificed his life for the nation during a deadly attack of Pak sponsored terrorist attack in Pathankot Air Force base was today cremated with full honours here at his native village. Mool Raj son of Sardari Lal resident of Jakh Chandla had joined DSC in 2004 after his retirement from the defense services in 2002 and was posted in Pathankot. Raj was fighting terrorists who stormed into the highly guarded Pathankot air base and martyred his life for the cause of nation. Today his body was brought to his native village where hundreds of people in presence of Brigadier Yash Pal Singh of 92 Brigade and former Minister and Congress general secretary Manjit Singh were also present. Residents of Jakh village bid adieu to its brave son Mool Raj, who was martyred in a terrorist attack at Air Base in Pathankot. Army personnel presented guard of honour in respect of the son of the soil by reversing their weapons. Among others, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga, Yashpal Singh, Brigadier, 92 Infantry Brigade and SSP Joginder Singh and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh were present on the occasion to pay tributes to the martyr. Mool Raj is survived by his mother, wife Gayatri Devi, daughter - Pooja, a student of BA-part 1and a son, Ashish, studying in BA Part II. Meanwhile, in a statement senior Congress leader Manjit Singh accused BJP of pursuing false foreign policy while appealing the Prime Minister to re-think over talks with Pakistan. Singh said that the BJP Government always follows wrong and failed foreign policy which was evident during the Prime Ministership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Both Kargil war in 1999 and Parliament attacks were carried out during the regime of BJP in Centre and then NDA Government failed to handle the situation. Congress is not against the talks with Pakistan but Modi Government should re-think, he maintained, while accusing Central Government of compromising national security. He also demanded adequate compensation for the family members of the martyred DSC soldier and government job for his kin. |
