Police registers case in alleged 'rape'

Udhampur, Jan 4: Following written complaint from a housewife, the Ramnagar police have registered a case against alleged rape accused and started investigations.
Police spokesperson said, "The housewife (name witheld) lodged a written complaint at Police Station Ramnagar alleging therein that one Deeraj Bandral has committed rape upon her.
"Accordingly a case stands registered in this regard and manhunt was launched to trace the accused, police said. Police however claimed that whereabouts of the accused are still unknown who is allegedly absconding to avoid his arrest.
Police spokesperson added that a case under section 376 RPC Police Station Ramnagar stands registered against accused and investigations have been started.
