| Five narco-smugglers held alongwith Heroin | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 4: Miran Sahib Police today claimed to have arrested five narcotic smugglers and recovered nine gram Heroin from their possession here today. A case under NDPS act stands registered against the accused. Police have identified accused as Tariq Mehmood s/o Javed Ahmed Choudhary of Harsa Dabbar Bishnah, Puran Chand @ Sonu s/o Ashok Kumar of W- 1 Bishnah, Ankush Salgotra @ Tony s/o Harmesh Kumar of Mehmoodpur Bishnah, Rohit Sharma s/o Rakesh Sharma of Nowgran Bishnah and Aruneshwar Singh Charak @ Ankush Chib s/o Shamsher Singh Charak of Babliana Bishnah, . As per police, on specific information a naka was laid and during naka checking at Kirpind, an Alto car (JK11A-3820) and one M/cycle (JK02AP-5322) were intercepted by police. "During frisking of the occupants of the vehicle, the police team seized the contraband from their possession, police said, adding, "the accised were arrested on the spot and accordingly, a case under FIR No. 02/2016 u/s 8/21/22/29/NDPS Act stands registered against them while furher investigations are on." Police spokesperson said that catch was made by the team of P/S Miran Sahib led by SHO Hilal Azhar under the supervision of SDPO R.S Pura Harjeet Singh and SP Hdqrs Ramesh Kotwal under the close supervision of SSP Jammu Uttam Chand. |
