| Kishtwar warriors lift Tennis Ball Cricket Championship | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Jan 4 : Kishtwar Warriors today lifted the Tennis Ball Cricket Championship 2015-16 by beating Kishtwar Royals with 30 runs in the final match played here at Chowghan ground.
The Championship was organized by District Kishtwar Tennis Ball Cricket Association in collaboration with J&K Tennis Ball Cricket Association in which 12 teams from different areas of Kishtwar District participated.
As per the details available with "Early Times", in the final match played between Kishtwar Warriors and Kishtwar Royals, Kishtwar Warriors won the toss and set the target of 81 runs in stipulated 10 Overs after batting 1st . Henan Malik and Saleem Sheikh played very well for Kishtwar Warriors and score 35 , 30 runs respectively. For Kishtwar Royals, Balwinder , Saqib shared 2 wickets each.
While chasing, Kishtwar Royals were bundled out in 7.3 overs and manage to score only 50 runs and lost the match with big margin of 30 runs. For Kishtwar Warriors, Rajesh Kumar and Dawood Mir bowled very well and picked up 2 wickets each.
Henan Malik was adjusted as Man Of the Match in final and Man of the series award for his brilliant display of Batting in the Tournament while Dawood Mir was the Best Bowler of the Tournament by taking 12 wickets including one Hatrick in the Tournament.
Tehsildar Kishtwar, Daljeet Singh was the chief guest on the function who gave away the prizes to the Winners and Runner up teams. |
