| NYK organizes lecture on 'Youth Leadership and Volunteerism' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 4 : A special lecture on 'Youth Leadership and Volunteerism' under theme based Programme was organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Jammu in the 5th Youth Meet of the Vivekananda Study Circle (VSC), a project of International Volunteer Foundation (IVF) at Ramakrishna Mission, Udhaywala Jammu. Swami Nirantarananda, Secretary Rama Krishna Mission Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his address to the youth, he explains the character making, be and make education as propounded by Swami Vivekananda.
He called upon the youth to come up with innovative ideas and must serve the society. Swami Ekarthananda Ji who was the Guest of Honour and resource person delivered a lecture on the youth leadership. He said in order to be a leader, one must know to obey the command of the seniors. A leader should act as a servant first than only he can command others. Kiran Kumar Sharma, Chairman IVF, National Awardee and social worker spoke on Volunteerism. In his speech, he said volunteering helps in the personality development of the individual and it is better to work free rather to sit free. |
