| Natrang stages 'Aap Hamare Hai Kaun' | | | Early Times Report
Katra, Jan 4 : Special show of Balwant Thakur's highly acclaimed play 'Aap Hamare Hai Kaun' staged here today by Natrang at Matrika Auditorium, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra.
Prof. Sudhir K. Jain, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU was the Chief Guest at the occasion. He congratulated the power packed young artists of Natrang for achieving such a distinction in their performance at such a young age. Giving details, Writer and Director of the play Balwant Thakur informed the distinguish audience that this play and its participating artists have done proud to Jammu by making it to the National Theatre Festival being held at New Delhi, where the children will perform this play on 11th of January, 2016.
He thanked the authorities of SMVDU for their support and appreciation.
'Aap Hamare Hain Kaun' shakes parents, educationists/guardians of society out of reverie of materialism, consumerism and unbridled desires. This play compels elders to look around and clear the mess they have created due to their own amorous ambitions and rat race. Parents see in their children an extension of their unfulfilled dreams and force them to become stereotypes and kill the bountiful charm in them. In a pursuit to make them top professionals, doctors, engineers and civil servants, they are subjected to every kind of cruelty. |
