| SC Cell NC expresses concern over non-disbursement of relief to farmers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 4 : Co-Chairman SC Cell National Conference Jammu Vijay Lochan on Monday expressed concern over non-disbursement of relief or compensation to the farmers whose crops were damaged due to vagaries of weather. Speaking at a felicitation function at Village Phinder this afternoon, Lochan also shared the concern of the farmers for falling prices of Basmati, saying that they needed some respite
He appreciated the role of people of village phinder for maintaining brotherhood and communal harmony, which he said was the glorious heritage of the State. He was apprised of various problems faced to the people, which included erratic water and power supply, dilapidated condition of roads and lack of various utility services.
He assured that these issues will be taken up at appropriate levels.
He lamented over the government's neglect towards problems of the people and said the government had failed on all fronts.
On the occasion, Vijay Lochan was honoured by youth of Jai Maa Durga yuva Sangathan Phinder.
Among others who present on the occasion were Parvinder Singh, Nitu Kumar , Kala Ram Gupta, shabhu Ram Bhagat , Labha Ram Bhagat , Gushi Ram and Rittu Manmeet Singh. |
