CWA calls on Gen Manager BSNL | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 6: The delegation of Trikuta Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) accompanied by Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) today called BSNL General Manager, Jammu Ajay Kumar Kararha. According to press release, the delegation to bring to his notice the current miserable service conditions of Mobile phone services especially in Trikuta Nagar, Chhanni Himmat, Sainik Colony and Narwal area. The deputation led by Vikram Gour and including Er SK Gupta, Er SC Sharma, Er Ashok Arora, Er AK Kaw, SN Koul and Rajinder Kakkar pointed out that frequent call drops, non availability of signal, 'contact not available', Line Busy/engaged or even bell not ringing is highly irritating. The Call Dropping is adding on to consumer's bills. The members pointed out that are in utter violation of Consumer's Rights must stop immediately. CWA members pointed out that there is no specific 'Parking Area' in and around BSNL paying counters and the consumers' vehicles are invariably lifted by Traffic Police. BSNL must sort it out with Divisional Authorities so that vehicles are not towed away by Traffic Police while phone users are paying their bills. A.K.Kararha told the delegations that BSNL was facing problems because of availability of sufficient equipment especially in the areas where service is comparatively not upto the mark. There are some problems with BST land owners also. BSNL is fast working on removing the deficiencies of Mobile Service and GM assured that positive results will soon be visible. |
