Why BJP wants to give one more chance to Pak rogues? | Lessons not learned from Pathankot terror attack | | Early Times Report jammu, Jan 6: At a time when the whole of the wounded and chaffing nation and almost all the strategic affairs experts and former Army Commanders want Prime Minister Narendra Modi to review his Pakistan policy, cancel or postpone the scheduled Foreign Secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan and unleash overt and covert operations in Pakistan to avenge the Pathankot terror attack that left 7 of our brave soldiers dead and more than 20 others wounded, the insensitive BJP is batting for one more chance to Pakistan. Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan are scheduled to meet in Islamabad on January 15. The Congress is denouncing the PM Modi's policy towards Pakistan and asking the Prime Minister to look back to find what Pakistan did at Pathankot so that good sense could prevail and New Delhi abandons the dangerous path. The JDU and the Samajwadi Party too have been denouncing the Modi's Pakistan policy and also ridiculing the RSS for its changed stand on dialogue with Pakistan. The Shiv Sena, which is an important ally of the BJP both at the Centre and in Maharashtra, has also been very critical of PM Modi and his Pakistan policy. The Shiv Sena leadership has been even taunting PM Modi and reminding him what he said about Pakistan during the election rallies in 2014. "The nation voted for Modi because he gave it to understand that he will teach Pakistan a lesson; he would talk in the language Pakistan understands," The Shiv Sena has been openly saying, adding there is no point in talking to Pakistan. The stand of Indian think-tanks is almost the same. They too, want PM Modi to find where he went wrong. "He is pinning faith in a wrong State. Pakistan is a rogue State. It is utterly untrustworthy and undependable. It has always stabbed India from the back," they have been saying. Bulk of the Indian media is also questioning his policy towards Pakistan. In fact, it is the media that has changed the whole perception of the nation on Pakistan. Sadly, however, nothing has been moving the BJP leadership. It is insisting that PM Modi should be given a freehand so that he could engage with Pakistani leadership. "While we appreciate the national sentiment that is against Pakistan, we want the non-BJP parties and formations to support Prime Minister Modi and his out-of-box diplomacy," BJP spokespersons have been shamelessly saying day-in-and-day-out. Significantly, the so-called nationalist RSS is also advocating for the same line. The BJP is a political organ of the RSS. Why does the BJP want to give one more chance to Pakistan whose single point agenda is to grab J&K and disintegrate India? Does it want Pakistan to do one more Pathankot? Does it want Pakistan to kill more Indians and create more widows, like it did in Mumbai eight years ago? Why should Pakistan be given one more chance? Has not India given umpteen chances to Pakistan to reform itself? Has it reformed itself even a bit? Has Pakistan handed over to India the perpetrators of Mumbai terror attacks like Hafiz Saeed and Zakiur Rehman Lakhavi. Vajpayee went to Lahore and Pakistan did Kargil. PM Modi went to Lahore and Pakistan did Pathankot. Enough is enough. Time of giving chances to Pakistan is up; it's now time to take action against it, call its bluff and expose it the world over. It's time for surgical strikes so that the Indian Army could destroy the terrorist training camps in Pakistan and PoJK. |
