Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 6: Security agencies were put on high alert in Jammu after a white Tata Sumo dodged a police naka at Nagrota on Jammu-Srinagar national highway this evening.
Police said cops had laid a naka at Bantalab when a Tata Sumo bearing registration No MH14/0284, which was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu, stopped at the toll barrier, with a person, who carried a gun, asking the toll staff that some officer was sitting behind.
"They did not give toll and escaped. Later, they were singled by a police team at Bantalab but they dodged it and escaped from there too, ignoring the signal," police said, adding that as soon as the sumo carrying suspicious persons moved ahead it was chased but it could not be intercepted.
However, police have alerted all police stations and nakas across Jammu.
