Gurupurab celebrated with religious fervor, gaiety in Kathua 1/6/2016 10:13:09 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Jan 6: 351th Parakash purab of 10th guru of Sikhism Guru Gobind Singh ji , was today celebrated with religious gaiety and fervour in the Kathua. Thousands on board from across the district reached and prayed in main function at District Gurdwara Singh Sabha Kathua. Raagi and Preachers performed and enchanted the devotees with hymns from gurubani and suggested to follow the foot marks of Guru Gobind Singh who scarified his everything including Father and children for the welfare of the humanity. On the occasion, District Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee DGPC and The Sikh Youth Welfare Society SYWS, extended greetings to the people and prayed for the prosperity and tranquility in the state. Shagun Deep Singh Bali, Member SYWS appealed all benefits that must have minority in the state. He appealed state coalition government to review the scholarships being given to children of minority community and which are not properly distributed according to the scheme launched by government through Social welfare department.
