CEO initiates probe against Pvt School for functioning 'illegally'

Rajouri, Dec 6: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has initiated an inquiry against Private School Management in Manjakote tehsil of Rajouri district for allegedly functioning in unauthorized manner despite permission of school got expired and that too in an unsafe building.
According to official sources, taking cognizance, the CEO Rajouri has directed the ZEO to file an FIR against the school management and to seek explanation from the school management/principal for running the school illegally and in an unsafe building.
Pertinently CEO, Rajouri after several complaints about this school had initiated an initial investigation which was conducted by the principal of higher secondary school, Dheri Relyot assisted by two senior lecturers.
Sources said, "During a departmental probe it was found that Rose Public Educational Institute was found functioning without permission (permission has expired) and in a premises which was not safe for the students enrolled by the school." "The inspection of Rose Public Educational Institute was conducted by the team in the third week of December, sources said, adding, "it was also found that the school management despite having permission upto 5th class was also conducting classes for 6th and 7th standard and the students studying in these classes were found enrolled in the admission register of Rajiv Oriental Academy at Thandikassi situated at some 18 kilometers from Patrara." They said, "The inquiry team visited Rose Public Educational Institute at Patrara submitted its report in last week of December vide HSS/DR/204/ dt 23/12/15, the CEO was informed that the school neither has any permission, nor its own building /rented building and the school is also conducting 6th and 7th classes in an unsafe and crumbling building. A senior officer in education department has not ruled out the involvement of some officials in the office of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) office and Chief Education Officer (CEO) has directed the Zonal Education Officer to investigate the matter. Meanwhile acting on the report of inquiry team, Ch Altaf Hussain, CEO Rajouri has directed the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Manjakote to issue notice with seven days time to the principal/school management to explain their position for running the school illegally, with expired permission and for holding 6th and 7th standard classes without permission.
CEO Rajouri has also directed the concerned ZEO to make necessary arrangements for the students of 6th & 7th classes in the nearby government school so that their academic session can be wasted away.
