| GDC Thannamandi concludes NSS winter camp | | |  Early Times Report
Rajouri, Jan 6: Winter camp of National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Degree College Thannamandi concluded.
On the occasion, a valedictory function was organized in the college in which Principal of the college Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Raina was the Chief Guest who also delivered a detailed lecturer on importance of NSS and also congratulated NSS programme officer and NSS Volunteers for great success of the camp.
Earlier, the programme started with recitation of few versus of Holy Quran by Ibrar Ahmed. Flower Afsana, Sadia Farooq, Farah Samyal, Mehtab Kiran and others presented the NSS Song (Hum Hun Gha Kamyab Aek Din). Two NSS Volunteers Farhid Mir and Deba Jaral also presented their views and also appreciated the college administration for providing due support during the camp.
During the camp besides Cleanliness drive, Manual work and Beautification of the college campus a Lecture on the Importance of NSS was presented by an ex -NSS volunteers Tahir Qureshi.
The other programmes held during the camp included a Song competition, Essay competition, Quiz competition, Painting competition, poetry competition and others. Shareen Mir conducted proceeding of the programme where as Prof. Junaid Jazib presented formal vote of thanks. Large number of staff members and students attended the programme. |
