Jammu, Jan 6: The State men and women Basketball teams left for participating in the 66th Senior National Basketball championship being organized by the Basketball Federation of India at Mysore, Karnataka.
The teams, which underwent a 15 days training camp at MA Stadium were screened by the screening committee of the State Sports Council before their departure. Shiv Kumar Sharma, joint secretary of the State Sports Council and convener of the screening committee addressed the selected players. Ashok Singh, treasurer JKBA and Kuljit Singh, Associate Secretary were also present on the occasion.
The Men team includes Harpreet Singh (Captain), Iqbal Singh, Sumeet Kumar (J&K Police), Ranbir Singh, Shubham Sharma, Amanjot Singh, Rohan Kundal, Jaskirat Singh, Aviral Singh, Shubham Bhardwaj (SAI training Centre), Salinder Singh (Samba), Aukif Khan (Srinagar), While Women team includes Amarpreet Kour (captain), Ankita Singh, Radhika Choudhary, Sneha Choudhary, Lakshmi, Amrit Kour, Pratibha Tagotra, Harshita Gupta, Sonia Sharma, Diksha Gupta, Abhileen Kour and Kanupriya Dubey. Amarjit Singh, Aman Sharma and Rohit Chhiber shall accompany the teams as coaches, while Manjit Kour shall be the lady manager. |
