Calliope students visit religious places | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 6: In the present scenario, the education is not only confided to the academic growth of the young students but it also stresses on the overall development of their personality, with this motive the Calliope School Doomi organized an educational visit to pious places like Temple, Mosque, Gurudwara and Church, to aware the students with the glorious history of religions and culture. The two-day trip started with the visit of Pre-Primary kids who along with the coordinator Bindu Sharma reached visited religious places situated in the Akhnoor town. School Principal Kiran Raina was also accompanying them. Next day, the students of Primary classes alongwith the coordinators Neha and Shalini visited the religious places. There was great enthusiasm among children. The students got to know about different religions and the importance of pious places. They had great time singing devotional songs and also witnessed the prayer at Church. They prayed at the religious places and also learnt about the lives of Lord Krishna, Guru Nanak Dev, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammad. Feelings of worshipping, dancing and singing made it a wonderful experience. Principal Kiran Raina appreciated the efforts made of the faculty and said such kind of excursions are quiet useful in enriching the knowledge of students. She also added that these visits to such religious places play vital role in binding the young minds to their roots. She said that all religions deliver the message of equality and brotherhood. On the whole it was a memorable experience which enhanced the knowledge of the students about the history and culture. |
