Early Times Report poonch, Jan 6: Asserting that adequate distribution of ration in the far-flung areas is high on the priorities of the Government, Member Legislative Assembly Haveli, Shah Mohammad Tantray today said that no deserving soul will be left out of the ambit of National Food Security Act (NFSA). While addressing a meeting of officers at Mandi, Tantray instructed the Revenue and CA&PD authorities to ensure eradication of bogus ration cards while ensuring that no deserving family is left out during the enrollment process under NFSA. "To provide ration to maximum souls at affordable rates is the main intent behind NFSA", he said while instructing the authorities to ensure coverage of every deserving family. "Implementation of NFSA will ensure ration to the marginalized, deprived and downtrodden sections of the society at highly subsidized rates of Rs. 3/- & Rs. 2/- for rice and atta, respectively, he said. Tehsildar Mandi, Auqil Nuvaid, Tehsil Supply Officer, Aslam Malik besides Naib Tehsildars and Parwaris attended the meeting. Meanwhile, Tantray also convened a meeting of officials of Rural Development Department at Mandi and reviewed the implementation of MGNREGA and other RDD schemes in block Mandi, Sathra and Loran. MLA Haveli instructed the BDOs for effective monitoring of ongoing development works so that quality is not compromised. BDO Mandi, Yaar Ali Khan, BDO Loran, Zaheer Abbas Kaifi besides Panchayat Secretaries attended the meeting. |
