Sonia's visit to Srinagar today, Azad's body language unnerve BJP mantris | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 9: The proposed visit of Congress president Sonia Gandhi to Srinagar to attend 4th day of former Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has given air to the rumours that something different cooking in the state politics to keep "communal" BJP at sideline from the politics of sensitive border state of Jammu and Kashmir. As per reports Sonia Gandhi is visiting Srinagar on Sunday to mourn the sad demise of Mohammad Mohammad Sayeed. Congress president will first visit Muftis's residence at Srinagar and after that she will go to Bijbehara-native place to Mufti Mohammed Sayeed to pay floral tributes to the departed soul. Sonia Gandhi had earlier visited AIIMS when Mufti Mohammed Sayeed was admitted in the hospital at Delhi. On Thursday morning when Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had breathed his last at AIIMS, Sonia Gandhi was the top politician of the country who rushed to the AIIMS to share grievances with the bereaved family of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. At the time of grief Sonia Gandhi had waited for more than half an hour to wait for Mehbooba Mufti who was in the first floor of the hospital. Credible sources in the Congress said that Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad was the brain behind Sonia Gandhi's visit. For the last two days, Azad was in Srinagar and he too had meeting with Mehbooba Mufti. Azad had also visited Bijbehara to pay tributes to Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Ghulam Nabi Azad's repeated visits to Mufti house and Bijbehara with MLAs Tarigami and Hakeem Yasin is also indication of political realignment in the State. Credible sources in the BJP said that Sonia Gandhi's proposed visit to Srinagar on Sunday has given sleepless night to power hungry BJP because a fear has been gripped among them that they will lose their ministries in case of any realignment. |
