Srinagar, Feb 9: Terming rumours surrounding government formation in J&K as 'bundle of lies', close associates of PDP President, Mehbooba Mufti said that nobody except Mehbooba has any information about the party stand on Government formation. One noted person who looks after documentation works of Mehbooba Mufti and advises her on political matters told Early Times that nobody except Mehbooba has clear stand on Government formation. He said that PDP leaders who spoke to press in open or anonymously only speak their mind and hearts out to uphold reputation among common masses merely with an intention to pose themselves as PDP leaders with know-How of happenings inside locked rooms. Known with a particular name among people this informed PDP source said that neither anybody among PDP leaders dare to ask or advise Mehbooba on important issue of government formation and nor she seeks advise of any PDP leader in this matter. "Like earlier Mehbooba would only discuss party and political issues with late Mufti Muhammad Syed only in a particular room and their every decision would be deemed as bible truth in every matter, similarly she now a day's only talks with her brother sometimes and discuss future course of action. Rest reports emerging are bundle of lies floating across the state regarding government formation and should be treated as personal intuitions of PDP leaders ." informed Source said Sources turned down rumors spinning regarding government formation these days includes that 'BJP has set a deadline for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti to clear stand on government formation.' At a meeting last week with party leaders, Mehbooba had asked party workers to go back to the people to strengthen the party instead of speaking about government formation. Mehbooba said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will have to reach out to the people of Jammu and Kashmir with decisive political and economic confidence-building measures (CBMs) before taking any decision on government formation. PDP is the largest party in the 87-member Assembly with 27 seats and had tied up with second largest party BJP with 25 MLAs ten months ago to form government and despite many odds, the coalition completed 10 months until the demise of Mufti Mohammad Syed after brief period of illness. Meanwhile BJP general secretary Ram Madhav is likely to hold talks with PDP president Mehbooba Mufti next week as according to BJP sources the party makes fresh efforts to break the impasse over formation of government in J&K to complete its tenure of six years with PDP in state government as agreed earlier. BJP High command warned its state leadership to stitch up mouths issuing statements regarding government formation and nominated Ram to tackle the issue once again after he played a key role in forging alliance with PDP earlier after state assembly elections here threw up a fragmented mandate. |
