Jammu, Feb 9: Pakistan has yet again proved that its probe into Pathankot attack was nothing more than a mere eyewash as probe panel investigating the involvement of JeM chief Masood Azhar in the attack has given him a clean chit.
According to media reports a high-level team constituted by Pakistan Prime Minister to probe the recent terrorist attack on the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot has reportedly found no evidence suggesting the involvement of Masood Azhar in the incident.
Officials privy to the SIT were quoted as saying that Pakistani authorities have conveyed to New Delhi that there was no substantial evidence that could prove the involvement of Masood Azhar in the Pathankot attack.
A defence analyst while talking to Early Times said, "It was expected. Pakistan probe report is no news for us. We knew it from day one that Pakistan is not sincere."
"India has given enough evidence to prove that Masood Azhar was the master mind behind the Pathankot attack. Despite proving his involvement beyond doubt Pakistan probe panel has given a clean chit to him," he added.
The Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should admit that he is not in control and he cannot act against the people who are preaching terror and violence against India. "Soon after the Pathankote attack the Army Chief had hinted at unrest among the forces and had asked the political leadership to show the will and courage so that terrorists operating in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and Pakistan are taken to the task," said a retired army official.
He said, "Pakistani agents have been unleashing terror against India and the political leadership has been shielding them. People like Masood Azhar, Hafiz Saeed and Lakhvi need to be taught a lesson, If US forces could enter Pakistan to capture and kill Osama Bin Laden why can't Indian forces do the same."
A senior Army official while talking to Early Times said, "It's an established fact that Pakistan has been sponsoring the terrorism for the past 25-years in Jammu and Kashmir. Despite Pakistan losing the proxy war and Indian security forces giving them a befitting reply Pakistan has not mend its ways."
He said, "The only option left with us to cross over to other side and destroy the terrorist camps operating there. After every attack politicians make noise and raise hue and cry. We cannot keep on losing our soldiers. Terrorists are backstabbers and we need to act against them."
He said, "If India fails to act against terrorists this time around it would encourage them to strike again as they know we will not take any action against them."
A politician said, "If Pakistan doesn't act against Masood Azhar Indian should call off the talks process and take decisive action against the terrorists who have developed the habit of bleeding us again and again." |
