| PDP-BJP coalition likely to assume office later this month | | Madhav to meet PDP leadership next week, BJP -RSS leaders to meet today | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 9: BJP national general secretary, incharge Jammu and Kashmir who is the architect of BJP-PDP agenda of Alliance last year is holding the parlays with PDP leadership next week. According to sources the Madhav will meet Mehbooba Mufti and other top leaders of PDP and discuss the modalities for government formation in the State. Sources said that Madhav will establish the channel of negotiations with PDP leadership first and try to dispel the doubts of the Party regarding the assurances made in agenda of alliance. This will be first meeting after the imposition of governors rule in the State onDecember 9 two days after the death of former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.
The meeting between the two party leaders will be followed by a formal meeting of Mehbooba with BJP national chief Amit Shah in New Delhi.
Meanwhile according to sources a high level BJP and RSS leadership is being held in Union Capital tomorrow on the government formation. The meeting has been organized on the instructions of BJP national president Amit Shah and it will be chaired by senior RSS leader Krishan Gopal who is also a coordinator between the BJP and RSS, sources added.
Sources said the State BJP leaders including former Deputy Chief Minster Dr Nirmal Singh, State Party president Sat Sharma and Party general secretary organization Ashok Kaul are attending this meeting and they will also be joined by Union Minister of State in Prime Ministers Office Dr Jitendra Singh who is already in the Capital.
Sources said the RSS leaders from the State whoa re attending the meeting include incharge J&K Ramesh Pappa, Parshotam Didichi and Brig (retd) Suchet Singh. The meeting besides the prevailing situation will also discuss the pros and cons of formation of alliance with PDP. The RSS leaders will seek feed back from its State leadership on the issue, sources added. Sources said though it will be a preliminary meeting but the preparation for formation of the Government with PDP are on cards and the same will be installed from February 20 to 25 on any date. Sources said to allay the fears of PDP the BJP leadership has already made it clear that there would be no deviation from agenda of alliance and Party is committed to its fulfillment in toto. Besides there will be total moratorium on controversial issues from both sides, sources added. Sources said that PDP leadership is also under pressure on government formation from the legislators and other leaders as some of them have informed the Party chief that being away from Government they are unable to solve the problems of the people and a gap has been created between the masses and party leadership. Sources said that PDP leaders has also informed the Party chief that NC and Congress can take its advantage and this can prove suicidal for the party hence formation of the Government was the only alternative in maintaining the better contact with masses. |
