Rajouri, Feb 14: Industrial Training Institute Rajouri in collaboration with Directorate of Technical Education, J&K organized One Day Awareness Seminar on Skill Development Mission. On this occasion Shabnam Shah Kamili (KAS) Director Technical Education, J&K was the Chief Guest , Muneer Ahmed , Deputy Director at Directorate and Rajindra Kumar Gupta , Deputy Director, Technical Education, Jammu Province and a galaxy of officers from various departments like DIC, JK-EDI, KVIC, Tourism, Surpanchas, Panchs of different Panchyats, Intellectuals of various fields & large gathering of Students & youth of District Rajouri were present on the occasion. Mandeep Dogra, Principal ITI Rajouri presided over the function.
Director Technical Education, J&K while addressing the gathering briefed audience on Skill Development Mission and stated that the Department of Technical Education is conducting skill gap analysis of all the districts of the State by identifying the trades as per local need, manpower available at present and employability scopes in future. She encouraged girls students of the area to come forward to acquire skills in different trades to enhance their employability potential.
During the program, few cultural items were also presented in collaboration with Cultural Academy Sub office Rajouri & District Information Office Rajouri with the objective to promote local talent and languages especially Pahari, Gojri and Kashmiri with their folk song and folk lore also. |
