NFSA Regime

Babus, MLAs figure in APL list, genuine aspirants dropped
Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 14: State Government is going to implement NFSA from today but it can trigger a row as some bureaucrats have deliberately misled Governor over implementation of NFSA by giving wrong details.
Early Times has compared actual census data with the data created by Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department and it was found that the number of rationees have been exceeded from the actual rationees.
Sources said that there are at least 8 lakh bogus people figure in the list and it has been done deliberately to ensure that this act fails.
The data was presented before Governor N N Vohra and he was apprised that everything has been cross checked following which Governor ordered that Act be implemented but he made it clear to the officials that they should cross check the data and make it error free.
Sources said that large scale errors in the data are all set to embarrass the Governor's administration.
Despite clear cut instructions to the officials to ensure that there are no mistakes, officials have not done their homework. Name of the top bureaucrats figures in National Portal of PDS, www.pdsportal.nic.indespite there being a clear cut order No. 128 of Government in which persons holding constitutional position and all Gazetted Officers were excluded from the rationees. Surprisingly a few bureaucrats as per the portal are entitled to get government ration @Rs 10 for Rice per kg and Rs 8 for Atta per kg per.
Similarly there are various high level officers, even Army Officers of the rank of Brigadier, MLAs, Former Ministers and top businessmen who have been listed in BPL and APL category and irony is that many genuine people are searching their names in the lists uploaded on the portal.
